Vets Restore is an innovative partnership of cultural organizations and veterans’ service providers. We are dedicated to providing a unique education and career opportunity for military veterans living in the Seattle/King County area.
4Culture is a unique integration of the arts, heritage, preservation, and public art. Established in 2003, 4Culture is a leader and funder of cultural projects, facilities, and organizations around King County. For the Vets Restore program, 4Culture provides program oversight, seed funding, and media outreach.
Founded in 1974, Historic Seattle is the only membership organization dedicated to preserving the architectural legacy of Seattle and King County. Its mission is to educate, advocate and preserve. For Vets Restore, Historic Seattle hosts an intensive practicum in preservation carpentry at Washington Hall, one of its many historic properties.
The King County Veterans’ Program provides program intake, critical comprehensive support services, and internship wages for Vets Restore participants. Funding is provided by the King County Veterans and Human Services Levy, passed overwhelmingly by voters in 2011.
